Local Scholarships
District 6510 Rotary Charities Scholarship - A $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior planning to go to college/a trade school full time. They need to reside in the Rotary District 6510. For more information, click here. Deadline - April 1, 2025
Greg Yank 'Servant Leadership' Scholarship - $2,500 will be awarded to a high school senior who lives in the Rotary District 6510 or goes to a college/trade school in the Rotary District 6510. For more information, click here. Deadline - April 1, 2025
MEA Scholarship - This scholarship ($500) will be awarded to a student who is majoring in Education after graduation. The form is in the Guidance Office. Deadline - April 4, 2025

Tommie L. Rayford Memorial Scholarship - The Amicae of Carbondale, IL will award a scholarship to a deserving young woman as she prepares for the future at a college or university. Click here for more information. Deadline - April 18, 2025
Jackson County Soil and Water Conservation District Scholarship - Scholarship for Jackson Co. seniors. For more information, click here. Deadline - April 18, 2025
Murphysboro Elks Lodge #572 Antlers Scholarship - This scholarship is for an MHS senior who has a current cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. More requirements here. Deadline - April 28, 2025
Ben "Big Red" Arbeiter Scholarship - This scholarship was created for a high school senior in Jackson Co. More information here. Deadline - April 30, 2025
Heartland Heating, Air, and Plumbing - Graduating high school seniors who are enrolled in a college/trade school (with no relation to Heartland employees) are eligible for this scholarship. More information here. Deadline - May 5, 2025
Egyptian Electric Cooperative Association - Applicants for this scholarship must be a consumer-member in good standing of Egyptian Electric Cooperative or is a dependent of a consumer-member of the Cooperative who is in good standing (Prior to July 2025) For more information, click here. Illinois Student Scholarships
IPRB Post Secondary Education Oil & Gas Scholarship - This scholarship is for Illinois residents pursuing an oil and gas related degree or trade/technical school certification. Get application in the counseling office. Deadline - June 30, 2025
For Kids' Sake International Scholarship - This scholarship is for high school students in Southern Illinois who have lost a parent and are pursuing a career in trades, vocational, or technical fields. More information here. Deadline - February 15, 2025
