January 30

Multicultural Club will have a work party today in B19 from 3:30pm to 5pm to finish and install the February bulletin board.

Attention all Betas:  We need workers for this Saturday's Trivia Night fundraiser.  Please see the Beta board to sign up.  Betas can also earn service points by recruiting a team.  Talk to Ms. Goode for more information.

Speaking of Trivia Night, do you have a team?  17th Street Warehouse is the place to be this Saturday night for the Annual Beta Club Trivia Night.  There will also be giveaways and a silent auction.  Prove that you've got what it takes...ALL STUDENTS get in for HALF PRICE! 

FBLA will start selling "crush" sodas during both lunches for $1.00.  They will be sold February 2 - 12 and delivered during ELP on the 13th.

SENIORS:  MHS is hosting a financial aid night on February 3 at 6:00.  Parents and students that need to complete the FAFSA are encouraged to attend.  Stop in the Guidance Office for more information

Marion Memorial Health Scholarship--$1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior that is planning a career in human health care.  Deadline is March 6, 2015

SIU Credit Union Scholarship--$1,000 scholarship to a student of an SIU Credit Union Member in good standing.  Deadline is March 31, 2015

South East Illinois Area Health Education scholarship--Available to a senior with an interest in a career in the health care field.  Deadline is March 13, 2015

Illinois Elks Association--Scholarship for Physical & Occupational Therapy Two Year Program.  Deadline is March 13, 2015

Congratulations to the Red Devils JV & Varsity Boys Basketball Teams on big wins in the Jackson County Battler over Trico. The boys travel to Benton Friday night and invite you to come along!

Auditions for the all school musical will be next week in the MMS auditorium. This year's musical is Beauty and the Beast. See Ms. Herring in the auditorium before school for more information. Auditions are open to all MHS students. Sign up and audition materials are in the auditorium.

Congratulation to our Lady Red Devils on their win against Carbondale and on taking the championship at the Fairfield tournament, making us 14 - 1.  Come out tomorrow night and help cheer them on to a win over undefeated Benton, in Benton.  The next home game is Thursday against Pinckneyville.

Just a reminder that Baseball open gym begins tomorrow January 6th at GJAL @ 4:15.
