Student of the month applications for Seniors are available in the main office. These must be filled out and turned in to the office no later than September 4^th.

Powderpuff players – Practices will begin soon and you must have a physical on file in order to practice.

FBLA is hosting an Ice Cream Social today after school in Room C21. Everyone is welcome.

Art Club will have its first informational meeting on Monday August 31 at 3:15 in the Art Room. New members are encouraged to join. We will be discussing what direction we would like to go this year. If you are unable to attend see Mrs. Patterson for more information.

MHS Beta club will meet after school next Wednesday, Sept. 2 in the library. Anyone interested in running for an office must talk to Ms. Goode before the meeting.

MHS Youth and Government will meet after school on Monday Aug. 31st in Room B-14 (Mr. Brown). The meeting will be organizational and informational. If you want to participate and cannot attend, see Mr. Brown for information.

Don’t forget that there is $30 lab fee for all “D wing” classes, is due Wednesday (9/2)

If you are interested in ordering a yearbook for the 2015-2016 school year, please pick up a form in Ms. Scott's classroom (C21) or the office. Order by August 31 to receive the early bird discount.

Sophomores: Balfour will be here on Thursday, September 10 during ELP to provide information for ordering class rings. Balfour will be back on Thursday, September 17 during lunch hours to take orders.

There will be a Key Club meeting tonight at 8:00 in the auditorium. Please remember to bring $20 dues. Freshman should come at 7:45 to elect their director. There will be a pizza party after the meeting for all new members at Mr. Hall’s house.

There will be tryouts for MHS Scholar Bowl today, after school in the library. All grade levels are encouraged to participate! Please see Ms. Goode or Mr. Lunz if you cannot make tryouts for any reason, but are still interested in joining the team.

The GSA club (Gay-Straight Alliance) will hold its first meeting today at 3:15 pm. The club will meet every Wednesday at this time in Ms. Morris' room in A79. Everyone is welcome to attend.

If you have an interest in animals and want to be a part of a group dedicated to them, the MHS Zoology Club will start meetings this Friday at 7:45 in Mr. Mucher's room (B-5). The Library will open Monday, 8/17. Remember…to come to the library during lunch A or B you must get a pass from either Mr. White or Ms. Ward before first hour begins.

There will be a Key Club meeting for returning members Wednesday night at 8:00 PM in the auditorium. Any member with nominations for new members should bring those to the Key Club Office by Tuesday morning. Also, check with Michael Satterlee for some activities going on this weekend.

Please be sure to park only in your assigned parking spots. Cars without a parking sticker or who are parked in the wrong spot will be towed.

Cross Country tryouts are today, Monday and Tuesday on the track at 3:30. Deadline to come out is Tuesday, 8/18. See Mrs. Brasel if you have questions.8/19/2015

Student Council will begin meeting this week on Wednesday (8/19) at 7:45 before school in Mrs. Ellermeyer's room (A-56). This is your chance to have a say in activities at your school, and be a part of the MHS community. Freshmen and new members from any other class are all welcome, and we will be looking for people to fill the junior officer positions in the upcoming election.

First FBLA meeting on Tuesday, August 18 at 7:45 a.m. in Room C21. If you can't make the meeting and are interested in joining, please see Ms. Scott.
